Intelligent and Eloquent

I’ve been reading Ta-Nehisi Coates for a while now, since a friend pointed me to an article he wrote about police brutality. I immediately started following him on Twitter and seeking out the articles he writes for The Atlantic. He’s a writer of incredible talent, writing passionately and eloquently on social issues in America. He makes being smart and speaking up seem like the coolest and most honorable thing on Earth—and it is.

I could write here, but it’s Friday, and we’ve had a long week at the office. I’m tired. I figured I’d just post a link to something inspiring. I watched the following clip on my lunch break and was absolutely blown away by his eloquence and composure while describing the horrifying realities we face, yet never losing sight of positivity. I hope I’m this smart and well spoken some day.
