James Murphy on Failure

I’ve always loved this interview. I first discovered it in college and watched it a bunch to get inspired. To feel better about how little I’d accomplished. I really connected with his talk about being a “smart kid” when he was younger—something I touched on in the previous post. This is a great interview about engaging, about going for it, and about positivity in a certain kind of way.

I recently rewatched this, getting ready to go back to the States. It still resonates, but it’s a little scarier than when I was 20. He mentions 26 as a little too old to still not be doing much—time has flown here in Tanzania, and suddenly I’m only a few months from my 26th birthday. No pressure. But still, it’s mad inspiring.
